On every bill
- A tax invoice for a regular registration; a bill of supply for composition or no registration, with the composition declaration printed. A new business bills as not registered until you set its registration
- The HSN or SAC code you give a product, on its line
- Several GST rates on one bill, each shown as CGST and SGST; exempt items at 0%
- Your GSTIN and FSSAI number, and each outlet can print its own
- A business customer's GSTIN on a B2B bill
- The bill rounded to the nearest rupee, with the round-off on its own line
- Bill numbers that carry the financial year
Prices, MRP and packing
- Choose whether your menu prices include GST or not; the setting covers the whole business
- Packaged goods with an MRP always count as GST-included, and the till will not sell them above their MRP
- Packing charges are spread across the items they pack and taxed at each item's own rate; dine-in orders pay none
Returns and the monthly summary
- For a registered business, a return prints a credit note with CGST and SGST for each rate, in its own number series
- Reports → GST shows one month at a time in the GSTR-1 layout: B2C and B2B sales by rate, each B2B invoice, the HSN summary with quantities, credit notes, and the range of invoice numbers issued with how many were cancelled
- It downloads as an Excel file for your accountant
What it does not do
- E-invoicing (IRN) or e-way bills
- Inter-state sales (IGST): Tapvixo bills within your own state
- Filing: it doesn't file GSTR-1 or GSTR-3B or make the portal's upload file. The summary is for your accountant to file from
Questions
Which GST rate should I charge?
That depends on what you sell and how you are registered, and it is a question for your CA. Tapvixo applies the rate you set on each product, on every bill.
Do I need a GST registration to use Tapvixo?
No. A business that is not registered issues a bill of supply with no GST on it. When you register, change the setting and your bills become tax invoices.
